Expert in recruitment abroad for 10 years
November 2011! Three top entrepreneurs in West Flanders have joined forces after facing an increasing shortage of qualified technical staff in their own companies and also among their fellow entrepreneurs.
Very often, existing recruitment and selection partners could not provide sufficient answers to their specific needs. So what do you do? Continue to complain and sit back in misery? No, out of pain comes action and power. Putting their shared network and shared knowledge to work for others, they founded Absolute Jobs.
They were looking for a writer with a lot of enthusiasm and passion to pull the wagon, and they found Kris Ramboer. He toured his own province looking for those "technical" vacancies that were never or almost never filled. Their story and concept was relatively simple: if technical talent can no longer be found here, if punctual and loyal people with low absenteeism are so hard to find in Belgium, then let's bring them in from elsewhere, where they are still available in (large) numbers!
Romania was initially considered in this regard. Its inhabitants were known to be hard-working, experienced and fairly fluent in English. From Cluj-Napoca (Roe) to search for suitable profiles and from an old warehouse in Oudenburg to approach suitable companies, an interesting company was set up to match foreign temporary workers with vacancies in West Flanders.
An extremely rigorous service for both the client and the temporary worker proved to be a very good formula for successfully filling difficult vacancies. Subsequently, the offer was supplemented with Polish, Spanish, Portuguese and Greek temporary workers, as some profiles from these nationalities/regions were even better for filling certain vacancies.
